DI Presses

Our state-of-the art digital printing facility is great for low runs and quick turn-around. From your digital files or ours, it is the perfect way to get a small text sample to your board or client.

Today’s DI presses combine the versatility of offset with the convenience and ease of use of digital while delivering a high degree of speed, quality and automation to the four-color printing process.

DI press provides superior image quality while significantly reducing the negative impact to the environment associated with traditional offset printing. The ability to automatically image chemistry-free printing plates enables the DI press to quickly provide precise registration, thereby significantly reducing start up waste.

The laser and digital plate comprise an optimized system that excludes the use of chemistry in the plate making process. From an ecological perspective, this waste saving gains importance when you consider that one tree is equivalent to only two hundred thirty-six 11 x 17 brochures printed on 100 lb. cover stock. Paper waste reduction is achieved through the DI presses’ control over major variables in the printing process, such as ink/water by up to 90 percent.

There are many advantages to waterless printing, starting with the inks and extending throughout the entire waterless printing process. Conventional offset printing requires water for plate processing and for the press dampening system. DI printing does not use water. The chemically tainted wastewater from traditional offset printing is eliminated. Printech DI presses offer waterless printing, chemistry-free platemaking and substantially less waste than conventional printing processes.

DI presses eliminate the need for chemical processing and production steps associated with film-based plate making and also significantly reduces the need to store and dispose of chemistry. The reduction of paper waste, and the elimination of chemicals for film and film processing in platemaking and storage make DI printing an excellent choice for the environment.
